Abstract

The invention provides a network redirection method and device. A first access device receives an RRC connection request which is sent by UE in order to access a first frequency point of a UTRAN. The RRC connection request comprises an identification code which is used for instructing the UE to support an E-UTRAN. The first frequency point carries an RRC connection release message which is sent by a second access device to the UE. The first access device judges whether the UE is allowed to access the UTRAN or not, if not and the rejection frequency is not above the preset frequency, the value of the identification code is modified to instruct the UE not to support the E-UTRAN and a first RRC connection rejection message is sent to the UE. An RRC connection request which is sent again on the first frequency point by the UE is received and judging whether the UE is allowed to access the UTRAN or not and sequential operation are performed again, until the rejection frequency is above the preset frequency or the UE is judged to be allowed to access the UTRAN.
