Abstract

The invention provides a grading early warning protection method in a frequency spectrum variable network, comprising steps of selecting a previous hop node and a next-hop node of two terminal nodes of a damaged link in a route the business of which has a corresponding modulation format when an OSNR value in the link reaches a protection resource reserved threshold, and performing redistribution and calculation of the paths and frequency slots by utilizing an optimal frequency variable protection algorithm. When the OSNR value reaches a protection switching triggering threshold, the corresponding modulation format is adopted and the business which was successfully reserved is switched to the paths and the frequency slots which were computed. If the OSNR value rebounds to a level above the resource reservation triggering threshold, the protection resource reserved by the business adopting the modulation format is released. The invention can provide hierarchical rerouting and a recovery strategy for non-continuity frequency spectrum distribution to the link failure in a wavelength changeable elastic network.
