The locating method of a partial discharge source comprises: arranging two same UHF sensors on opposite faces of a device to be detected to acquire ultra-high frequency partial discharge signals; moving one or two of the two same UHF sensors along the connection line of the two same UHF sensors, and simultaneously outputting the acquired ultra-high frequency partial discharge signals through oscilloscopes respectively connected to the two same UHF sensors; and when the waveforms of the ultra-high frequency partial discharge signals acquired by the two same UHF sensors coincide, determining that distances from the partial discharge source in the device to be detected to a first location point and a second location point where the two same UHF sensors are currently located are equal.
