Abstract

The invention provides a step-counting method based on an acceleration sensor. The step-counting method comprises the following steps: (1) obtaining amplitude values of linear acceleration vectors which are collected in a walking process in real time based on the acceleration sensor; (2) initializing a state machine, dividing a process of walking for a step of people into a plurality of stages, wherein each stage uniquely corresponds to one state in the state machine and thus the walking process of people corresponds to state transition in the state machine; and (3) inputting the amplitude values of the linear acceleration vectors which are obtained in the step (1) into the state machine according to a timing sequence, triggering the state transition of the state machine and obtaining a step-counting number according to cycles of the state transition. The step-counting method is capable of accurately counting steps by overcoming influences of vibration and shake of the sensor.
