Abstract

The present invention relates to improvements in or relating to closures. The closure comprises a base and a cover, the base and the cover being connected together by hinge means, such that the cover is movable between a closed position and an open position, the hinge means comprising one or more linkages, For connecting the base and the lid, the closure includes a deformable section that deforms and exerts a force on the link when the lid is moved to the open position to stress the link and hold the lid securely in the open position, the closure also includes a tamper-evident member, the closure being visible prior to opening the closure for the first time in use. A tamper-evident member, wherein the tamper-evident member is at least partially hidden from view when the closure is first opened, thereby indicating that the closure has been opened at least once.
