Abstract

The invention discloses a browser redirection method and device; the method comprises the following steps: setting route information of the browser in a mode in which all sent HTTP requests point to a specific gateway address when the network is monitored to be disconnected, and monitoring the HTTP requests in a dataflow sent by the browser; intercepting the HTTP request when the browser is monitored to send the HTTP request, stopping further treatment of the HTTP request, and returning the specific gateway address to the browser; the browser visits the specific gateway address, and gateway equipment matched with the specific gateway address can enable a browser page to jump to an assigned page. By employing the technical scheme, when the network is disconnected, a user can open the browser to visit the website so as to jump to the assigned page, thus informing the user that no network is available.
