The invention discloses a control and a method for importing Word test questions based on a browser. The control comprises a server unit, a Word test question file selection unit, a Word test question file conversion unit, a test question content unloading unit, and a test question content analyzing and saving unit. The control is used for performing conversion, packaging and unloading of Word test question contents by use of three units, namely the Word file conversion unit, the test question content unloading unit and the Web server analysis unit, and saves the test question information and returns the test question saving information by virtue of Web server analysis. The method comprises the steps of selecting a Word file and saving the Word file as an HTML file, next, packaging the HTML file into a gzip format, uploading the gzip file to a server and informing the server of analyzing the uploaded contents after the file is uploaded successfully, analyzing by the Web server, receiving, assembling and storing the gzip file, unpacking the gzip file and then analyzing the HTML file by use of a regular expression, and finally, extracting the test question information, saving the information into a database and returning the test question saving information. The control is combined with the browser and convenient and fast for a user to use.
