Methods and apparatus provide single or multi-port, flexible, cost-effective, built-in self-test capabilities for network communications equipment, such as for example switches, and programmably generate, and subsequently analyze, one or more sequences of test packets, wherein the test packets simulate at least two flows of traffic. Such test packets can have programmable headers, payloads, and duty cycle. A line card embodying the present invention may generate its own traffic pattern, which may be similar or identical, to traffic patterns observed on Internet backbones. These traffic patterns may contain a bimodal distribution of control packets interspersed with data packets wherein the control packets and data packets are relatively short and long respectively. A plurality of test packet generators / receivers can be deployed in a network communications device having a plurality of ports. In such a configuration, test generator / receiver is associated with each of the plurality of ports. Under software control, test packets can be sent from at least any one of the plurality of ports to at least any other one of the plurality of ports. In this way, an in-circuit testing procedure may be implemented without having to disconnect line cards from the switch and connect the switch to expensive external test equipment.

The invention discloses a pipeline crack far field vortex test method, belonging to the nondestructive testing technique field. The online test technique of the pipeline crack far field vortex in axial direction based on a circumferential magnetization principle is concretely realized in two different configuration methods of exciting coils: using a coil in radial direction with low frequency AC current as an exciting coil to produce a circumferential magnetic field, or using two coils which are placed crossly and the plane normals of which are vertical to each other as the exciting coil. The two coils are respectively electrified with low frequency AC current of the same amplitude but a phase difference of 90 degrees to produce a rotating magnetic field in a circumferential cross section of the pipeline, and the rotating magnetic field produces the circumferential magnetic field. The measurement of the test coils in circumferential layout in the far field area is indirectly coupled with magnetic field signals and the amplitude of signals and the change of signals relative to the phase difference of the exciting current show the existence of the defects of the cracks. The far field vortex technique based on the circumferential magnetization principle has the advantages of more intense function of the circumferential magnetic field and cracks of the pipeline wall in axial direction, which leading the test of cracks in axial direction to be easily realized.

The offline training comprises: performing ultra-pixel segmentation on an image to obtain multidimensional segmentation blocks, and calculating the characteristic contrast of the segmentation blocks to obtain a target salient map; performing threshold segmentation on the target salient map to obtain a binary image, performing morphological processing on the binary image, and performing automatic segmentation extraction on the target salient map by employing a segmentation algorithm to obtain the salient region; and inputting the salient region to a convolutional neural network for training to obtain an image classifier based on the image salient region. The online test includes: performing automatic segmentation extraction of the salient region on a test image, inputting a salient region image of the test image to the trained image classifier, and performing image classification to obtain an image class mark. According to the method and system, the segmentation result is guaranteed, the workload of artificial interaction is reduced, and the accuracy of image classification is improved.
