tower suspension bridge with seism-isolating foundations. The bridge comprises a middle
tower, side towers, girders, main cables, suspension cables, anchorages, a middle
tower foundation, side tower foundations, side tower foundation seism-isolating cushions, seism-reducing-and-isolating energy dissipation devices, intelligent
video monitoring technology devices, foundations, added stiffness and added damp. The bridge can
resist the action of automobiles, temperature, strong wind, frequent seism and other static and dynamic loads by means of inherent rigidity and damp, the added stiffness and the added damp, so the safety of the bridge is ensured. When a rare great earthquake takes place, the side tower foundation seism-isolating cushions and the seism-reducing-and-isolating energy dissipation devices can dissipate the
dynamic energy of the earthquake because of shear deformation, thus ensuring the safety of the bridge. The side tower foundation seism-isolating
cushion is sand, sand and gravel mixture or plain concrete which is 400mm to 1000mm thick, and the seism-reducing-and-isolating energy dissipation devices and the intelligent monitoring devices are arranged in the side tower foundation seism-isolating cushions.
