The detection method comprises: more than three groups of ultrasonic ranging devices which are not located on the same straight line and are arranged on the periphery of a mobile terminal respectively measuring a near-point distance and a far-point distance of a pseudo-finger target substance, and using the obtained more than three groups of near-point distances and far-point distances and combining with space coordinates of the corresponding ultrasonic ranging devices to calculate so as to obtain a calculation centre point coordinate of the pseudo-finger target substance. The three-dimensional input method comprises: when it is detected that a preset triggering action is triggered, more than three groups of ultrasonic ranging devices which are not located on the same straight line and are arranged on the periphery of a mobile terminal starting up to track and measure three-dimensional space coordinates of a pseudo-finger target substance, and displaying same to the mobile terminal correspondingly.
