Abstract

The application provides a LED driver. A LED load is driven by connecting an AC-DC converting circuit in series with a DC-DC converting circuit; a current control loop detects the current passing through the LED load, and controls a main switch tube of the DC-DC converting circuit to make the LED driver output a constant current; a voltage control loop detects a signal representing the output voltage of the AC-DC converting circuit or the DC-DC converting circuit, and compares the signal with a benchmark value, controls the main switch tube of the AC-DC converting circuit based on the comparison result in order to make the output voltage of the AC-DC converting circuit be less than the LED load voltage. By such connection manner and control manner, the response speed of the voltage control loop can be designed slower in order to ensure a higher PF value and achieve a PFC function, therefore the response speed of the current control loop can be designed faster in order to ensure that the output current of the LED driver has less ripple, thereby avoiding the occurrence of stroboflash in the LED load.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of LED driving, in particular to an LED driver. Background technique [0002] LED, as a new type of lighting device, is widely used in the field of lighting due to its high luminous efficiency, but it usually requires constant current driving. In the prior art, the LED driver for its constant current driving often adopts a single-stage scheme. [0003] The LED driver using a single-stage scheme needs to take into account the PFC (Power Factor Correction, power factor correction) function, that is, its control loop needs a very slow response speed to have a high PF (Power Factor, power factor) value. As a result, its control loop responds slower, which causes the output current to have a large ripple whose period is half the period of the input AC voltage. When the LED driver is connected to the load, this current ripple will cause the LED lamp to flicker, which will affect the service life of the LED lamp a...
