Abstract

The present disclosure provides a multi-speed transmission. A transmission gearing produces up to ten forward gear ratios and one reverse gear ratio by selectively engaging various combinations of four shift elements. Each disclosed transmission includes four planetary gear sets and at least six shift elements. One of the shift elements may be a dog clutch. An optional passive one-way brake simplifies control.
