Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a method and a device for information push, which relate to the technical field of the Internet and are applied to a server. The method comprises the following steps: obtaining an information push instruction with regard to information P to be pushed; determining the associated information set RP of P according to the identifier of P and a preset information association relationship; obtaining client identifier lists corresponding to various information contained in the RP recorded in the server respectively according to the identifier of the information contained in the RP, wherein the client identifier list corresponding to any information contained in the RP is used for recording the identifier of a client which already successfully receives the information; judging whether to push P to a target client or not according to the obtained client identifier lists and a preset information push rule corresponding to P; if so, pushing P to the target client. Because the condition of associated information about the push of the server for the information to be pushed is considered when the information push is carried out by applying the scheme provided by the embodiment of the invention, user experience can be improved.
