The toothpaste comprises the following components by mass fraction: 20-30% of water, 1-5% of Manuka honey, 0.5-1.5% of ginger extract, 0.2-0.4% of borneol, 0.1-0.3% of echinacea purpurea root extract, 0.02-0.08% of aloe extract, 0.02-0.08% of New Zealand propolis, 0.01-0.03% of tea tree oil and the balance of glycerin. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the borneol, beewax and gel type toothpaste. The preparation method comprises the following steps: preparing a first solution; preparing a second solution; preparing a third solution; preparing a fourth solution; reducing the vacuum degree of the fourth solution below 0.1MPa, and reducing the temperature of the fourth solution below 30 DEG C. The toothpaste has the functions of inhibiting bacteria, resisting inflammation and preventing decayed teeth, and can be also used for preventing and rehabilitating periodontal diseases.
