Embodiment Construction
[0025] figure 1 An embodiment of an elevator 10 with a car 11 is shown. The car 11 is movable in the shaft 14 along a running track defined by the guide rails 12 . For this purpose, the elevator 10 has a hydraulic drive. In the section shown, only the hydraulic piston 13 can be seen therefrom. Not visible is the hydraulic cylinder in which the hydraulic piston 13 is guided and which moves the hydraulic piston 13 vertically upwards or downwards. The car 11 is equipped with two safety brakes 1 in the lower area. The safety brake 1 acts on the guide surface of the guide rail 12 during braking. Instead of a hydraulic drive, the elevator 10 can of course be equipped with a traction drive having a traction mechanism and a motor, wherein the car 11 and the counterweight are suspended from the traction mechanism and the motor is in operative contact with the traction mechanism by means of the drive wheels. Ropes, belts, etc. can be used as traction means.
