Abstract

The invention discloses a broadband dielectric resonator antenna, and belongs to the technical field of antennas. The antenna comprises a rectangular grounding metal plate, a cuboid radiation dielectric device which is arranged exactly above the grounding metal plate and provided with slits through etching, and a coaxial probe which penetrates through the center of the grounding metal plate into the radiation dielectric device. Bandwidth of the antenna is increased by etching the cross slit in a dielectric resonator, and gain of the antenna is increased by etching the square slit on the edge of the dielectric resonator. The antenna is simple in structure and relatively high in radiation efficiency.
