Embodiment Construction

[0025] In a first embodiment, the breathing exercise device of the present invention is formed by an elongated hollow body 1 defining an air inlet end and an air outlet end, and which comprises an adjustable valve 2 at the air inlet end, a turbine whistle 3 and Microphone 4, such as figure 1 shown.

[0026] The turbine whistle 3 is a whistle that produces a variable frequency sound depending on the flow of air passing through it, the greater the flow through it, the higher the frequency.

[0027] In addition, the device of the invention also includes connection means for transmitting the data of the variable frequency sound produced by the turbine whistle 3 . Said means is, for example, an antenna 5 connected to said microphone 4, which transmits data relating to the detected sound, such as frequency, to a computer (not shown) or any suitable platform. Said microphone is associated with a filter 6 in order not to cause turbulence.

[0028] It should be noted that the connec...

Abstract

The invention relates to a respiratory exercising device comprising means for detecting a person's breathing, characterised in that said means for detecting a person's breathing comprise a turbine whistle (3) which generates a sound of a variable frequency depending on the flow of air that passes therethrough, and a microphone (4) that captures said sound of a variable frequency generated by the turbine whistle (3). The respiratory exercising method comprises the steps of producing data relating to a person's breathing with the aforementioned device, of sending said data relating to the breathing to control means, and of applying an algorithm to said data in order to calculate the values of the flows generated by the breathing. The invention allows respiratory exercising to be performed in a simple manner, including for children.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a device and a method for breathing exercises that allow the measurement of air flow and the monitoring of different exercises. Background technique [0002] Respiratory physiotherapy refers to the adjunctive treatment used in many respiratory diseases with the following objectives: to keep the airways free of secretions, to achieve good flow of the chest cavity and to maintain good function of the respiratory muscles. [0003] Respiratory processes present with increased secretions, which can cause bronchial obstruction if they do not flow with subsequent bacterial secondary infection and possible pulmonary involvement. [0004] Respiratory therapy consists of a series of breathing exercises that achieve the goal of clearing the airways, supplying air to all possible spaces, flowing and expelling trapped secretions and promoting the air to be breathed without any problems. into and out of the airways. All of these wi...
