The invention discloses a load balancing method of a server, which comprises the steps of calculating the current processing capacity of each service server; selecting a service server whose current processing capacity is the lowest, distributing client requests to the selected service server according to preset distribution rules, selecting a service server whose processing capacity is the lowest from the service servers which are not selected if the client requests are not completely distributed, then distributing the client requests to all of the selected service servers according to the preset distribution rules, if the client requests are still not completely distributed, and circulating the steps of selecting a service server whose processing capacity is the lowest from the service servers which are not selected and distributing the client requests to all of the selected service servers according to the preset distribution rules until the client requests are completely distributed. By adopting the load balancing method disclosed by the invention, the current client requests can be distributed to the service servers in a more balanced mode. In addition, the invention further discloses a load balancing system applying the method.
