Abstract

The invention discloses a method of realizing device to device (D2D) communication synchronization and a system thereof. The method comprises the following steps that a first cell service base station where first user equipment (UE) is located determines that the first UE and second UE which carry out D2D communication are not in the same cell; a second cell service base station where the second UE is located acquires synchronization information of the first cell service base station and sends the acquired synchronization information of the first cell service base station to the second UE so as to carry out synchronization searching; the second UE carries out synchronization searching according to the received synchronization information and establishes communication synchronization with the first UE. In the invention, a synchronization notification of the synchronization searching is sent to the second UE through the second cell service base station and a frequency spectrum resource is not occupied; under the condition that the second cell service base station schedules the cell to avoid emission data on the frequency spectrum resource of the synchronization information, the second UE rapidly realizes synchronization with the first UE so that synchronization time is saved and communication efficiency is increased.
