Abstract

An electrical activity monitoring device based on an RFID sensor device attachable to a power cable of an electrical device for monitoring the electrical state of said electrical device. The device includes an antenna element that performs dual functions: magnetically couples with electrical pulses generated in the power cable in response to changes in the electrical power state of the electrical device, and wirelessly transmits data to an RFID reader. There is also provided an electrical activity monitoring device for monitoring the electrical status of at least one electrical device connected to a power supply network via respective power cables equipped with RFID sensor devices.
