Abstract

The invention provides a mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same. The mobile terminal includes a wireless communication unit configured to provide wireless communication; a touchscreen; and a controller configured to receive a diagonal sliding input from one side of the touchscreen, display a notification panel on the touchscreen including at least first and second regions, wherein the first region includes at least a first application icon corresponding to a first unconfirmed notification, in response to the diagonal sliding input, receive a horizontal drag input following the diagonal sliding input, and display details of the first unconfirmed notification in the second region in response to the horizontal drag input.
