The refrigerator comprises the refrigerating chamber and the freezing chamber, wherein the refrigerating chamber and the freezing chamber are capable of realizing refrigeration simultaneously during work of the refrigeration system; the longer the running time of the refrigeration system is, the better the temperature reduction effect of the freezing chamber is; the heating element arranged inside the refrigerating chamber can be intelligently started according to the external environment temperature of the refrigerator, so that the running time of the refrigeration system can be prolonged and the start times of the refrigeration system can be increased, and thus the temperature of the freezing chamber can be lowered to satisfy the temperature requirements of the freezing chamber.
