The method comprises: monitoring the network state of a first SIM card in a first card slot; detecting and determining whether the first SIM card has network service; controlling the mobile terminal to lock a second card slot when the first SIM card has network service; and controlling the mobile terminal to unlock the second card slot when the first SIM card has no network service. The method monitors and determines the network service state of an assigned card slot provided with an SIM card to be used first, locks the other card slot when network service exists, and unlocks the other card slot for normal use when network service does not exist, thereby greatly reducing the cost of a roaming SIM card caused by SIM card misoperation by a user, requiring no extra hardware cost, and providing convenience for the user.
