Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a method and device for generating a code coverage rate report. The method comprises the following steps: reading a preset configuration file by invoking a test tool in an application to be tested, wherein a first storage catalogue and a second storage catalogue are set in the configuration file; reading a code coverage rate data file, which is generated when the application is tested, from the first storage catalogue; reading an application file compiled based on an application source code from the second storage catalogue; and generating the code coverage rate report according to the code coverage rate data file and the application file. By means of the embodiment of the invention, complex configuration in a third-party tool is avoided; therefore, the test process is effectively simplified; automation of the whole test process is realized; the method and the device are applicable to a wide range of projects; a unified approach is provided for automatically establishing the code coverage rate report for the projects; and the reusability is high.
