Abstract

The embodiments of the invention disclose a method of allocating an unlicensed spectrum to a terminal small cell. The method comprises: monitoring for wireless parameter configuration information of a surrounding small cell in an unlicensed spectrum, wherein the wireless parameter configuration information comprises a physical layer cell identifier and a cell frequency; acquiring location information, and transmitting to a network apparatus a cell configuration request message containing the wireless parameter configuration information and the location information; receiving a cell configuration response message responded by the network apparatus and according to the cell configuration request message, wherein the cell configuration response message carries cell configuration information comprising an allocated physical layer cell identifier; and configuring, according the cell configuration information carried in the cell configuration response message, the terminal small cell. The embodiments of the invention further disclose an associated apparatus and a communication system. The invention is used to configure a wireless parameter for a terminal small cell in an unlicensed spectrum, enabling UE to access the terminal small cell.
