Abstract

The invention discloses a process for removal of benzo (a) pyrene in sesame oil. The optimal technological conditions for the production of refined sesame oil are as below: 1% of white clay and 0.8%of activated carbon; adsorption time of 45min; and adsorption temperature of 80 DEG C. the production of light sesame oil product needs secondary adsorption. The optimal conditions as below: 5% of white clay and 0.8% of activated carbon. Under the optimal technological conditions, the finished product of sesame oil has benzo (a) pyrene content reaching the national standard of 10 mug / kg, but does not reach the EU standard of 2.0 mug / kg. Therefore, the activated carbon is used for re-adsorption on the refined sesame oil; and the results show that the finished product of sesame oil has benzo (a) pyrene content reaching the EU standard of no more than 2.0 mug / kg.
