Abstract

The invention discloses a method for reproducing a power transmission line fault current traveling waveform. The method is characterized by installing a fault traveling wave detection device on a power transmission line, setting an objective function based on a frequency-dependent model by virtue of a least square method according to fault point current traveling waves detected at two points, and obtaining a distribution parameter of the power transmission line by virtue of inversion by using particle swarm optimization which is an intelligent search algorithm; verifying the correctness of the distribution parameter by means of inversion of detection point waveform of another section of the same power transmission line and comparison with an actually detected traveling wave, and accurately obtaining the fault current traveling waveform of any unknown point on the fault power transmission line via inversion by mean of the inversion method. The method has an absolute error not more than 3[mu]s and a relative error not more than 6%.
