Abstract

The invention discloses a fault diagnosis device of a broadband access network. A data message capturing device captures to obtain uplink and downlink data messages between an OLT (Optical Line Termination) and each ONU (Optical Network Unit). A protocol filtering module analyzes the uplink and downlink data messages, screens the data messages corresponding to an MPCP (Multi-Point Control Protocol) and an OAM (Operation Administration and Maintenance) protocol and sends the data messages to an MPCP protocol fault diagnosis module and an OAM protocol fault diagnosis module. The MPCP protocol fault diagnosis module subdivides to obtain subtypes of the MPCP protocol data message and detects through an ONU register finite state machine to obtain an MPCP protocol fault. The OAM protocol fault diagnosis module analyzes the OAM protocol data message to obtain an OAM protocol fault. A fault alarm module alarms the faults obtained through diagnosis. According to the device, through adoption of a protocol analysis method, the fault information is extracted from the MPCP protocol data message and the OAM protocol data message, thereby realizing fault diagnosis of the broadband access network.
