Abstract

The present invention relates to a telematics system supporting efficient call connection and a method for controlling the same, and discloses a method for efficiently connecting a call between a vehicle telematics system used for a vehicle and a call center and a device for performing the same. The control method executed through the vehicle telematics system includes the steps of: requesting a service to the call center; determining whether a call is connected to the call center when a call termination command is received from the call center; transmitting first information set to a value indicating the status of being engaged in a call and a call number corresponding to the call to the call center when such call is connected to the call center according to the determination result; and transmitting second information set to a value indicating the status of the call not ended by the call termination command to the call center.
