The method comprises the following steps: obtaining current working condition parameters and current water temperature of an engine; determining a first target water temperature and a second target water temperature which are corresponding to the current working condition parameters, judging whether the current water temperature is lower than the first target water temperature or not; if the current water temperature is lower than the first target water temperature, controlling the opening output duty ratio of a thermostat, making the opening of the thermostat and a first difference value between the first target water temperature and the current water temperature corresponding to enable the current water temperature of the engine to be close to the second target water temperature; if the current water temperature is higher than or equal to the first target water temperature, controlling the opening output duty ratio of the thermostat, making the thermostat in a full open position, and controlling a combined gear of a water pump and a fan to be located in a target gear based on the size relation of the current water temperature and the second target water temperature, to enable the current water temperature of the engine to be close to the second target water temperature.
