Abstract

A connector (1) for two electrical power cables is provided. The connector (1) has a plug (2) and a socket (3), which can each be firmly connected to a conductor of the cables and are suitable for establishing a breakable electrical contact between the conductors. The socket (3) has a longitudinally extending recess (12) and the plug (2) has a longitudinally protruding stud (11), which can be inserted into the recess (12).
