Abstract

The invention discloses a fault-sealing ability evaluation method based on fluid inclusion planes and a system thereof. The method comprises the following steps: sampling and analysis are carried out on the target strata fluid inclusion planes to judge direction of crustal stress applied on the fault planes; according to the direction of crustal stress, positive pressure of the target strata fault planes is calculated; and based on the positive pressure of the fault planes and the target strata fluid pressure, fault-sealing ability is judged. Fault-sealing ability of marine multistage superimposed basin's carbonatite can be effectively evaluated, and the insufficiency of present fault-sealing ability of marine multistage superimposed basin's carbonatite is compensated.
