The present invention discloses a method for automatically determining a user motion behavior by employing a mobile phone. The method comprises the following steps: (1) opening mobile phone APP application software, and entering a usage mode; (2) determining whether the user position movement speed exceeds a preset threshold value or not; (3) determining whether the mobile phone state satisfies the motion condition starting condition or not; (4) recording the data collected by a GPS positioning module and the data collected by a sensor module; (5) performing interval identification of the position movement speed; (6) determining the movement speed state; (7) determining whether the mobile phone state satisfies the motion behavior ending condition or not; (8) performing data cleaning through the APP application software after the end of the trip, and performing secondary filtering motion behavior data by employing the sensor data; and (9) determining whether the proportion of the non-motion state points exceeds the threshold value or not. The method for automatically determining the user motion behavior by employing the mobile phone can only need a smart phone to complete the whole determination process with no need for extra hardware investment by users.
