Embodiment Construction

[0022] The following will be combined with figure 1 The present invention is further described with examples.

[0023] Based on the SCL decoding algorithm, we set L=2 and L=4 in the two decoding trees respectively, such as figure 1 In (a), (b) shown. For these two decoding structures, when L=2 in (a), the CRC check fails, and according to the adaptive algorithm, L will become twice the original, ie L=4. Next, the algorithm will re-execute the decoding process of L=4 from the root of the decoding tree, as shown in (b). Comparing (a) and (b), it can be found that there is an overlapping path between the failed L=2 decoding path and the extended L=4 decoding path, which we call a common sub-path. In fact, the common sub-path traversed when L=4 is a repetitive calculation for the entire decoding process, which will lead to an increase in algorithm complexity. Moreover, when the length of the code sequence increases, the length of the common subpath also increases, and the deco...

Abstract

The invention provides a polarization code decoding method, i.e. a PR-SCL (Path Reused-SCL) decoding algorithm. According to the algorithm, the variance of each layer of measurement values of a decoding tree can be calculated in the decoding process, and the degree of uncertainty of code word selection of the path of the layer can be detected. After a variance threshold is set, nodes of which the variance is less than the threshold are recorded as the error-prone nodes of the decoding path. After failure of present CRC verification, the path is expanded in the special nodes directly by using the path reuse technology, and SCL decoding is continued again until the correct path is found. When the SNR is medium or higher, repetitive calculation of the measurement values can be avoided by using the repeat path so that the decoding complexity can be greatly reduced without changing decoding accuracy.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of communication, and in particular relates to an improved algorithm based on the SCL decoding algorithm in polar codes—PR-SCL (Path Reused-SCL). Background technique [0002] Polar Codes is a new type of channel coding proposed by E.Arikan in 2008. Polar codes have a polarization phenomenon: when the number of combined channels tends to infinity, some channels tend to be perfect channels, while some channels tend to be pure noise channels. In addition, polar codes are the only channel coding schemes that can prove to achieve channel capacity through rigorous mathematical methods. When Polar Code was proposed, Serial Cancellation SC (Success Cancellation) decoding was also proposed. SC decoding has the characteristics of low complexity and simple decoding structure, and it can be proved theoretically that the Shannon limit can be reached when the code length is large enough. However, the SC decoding algor...
