The composition is mainly prepared from 10 parts of the radix scrophulariae, 10 parts of the radix ophiopogonis, 10 parts of the liquorice root and 10 parts of the radix platycodonis; and the preparation method comprises such steps as extracting four raw materials, namely the radix scrophulariae, the radix ophiopogonis, the liquorice root and the radix platycodonis, conducting alcohol precipitation, refining extracts by virtue of a macroporous resin column and the like. Modern pharmacological researches show that both the radix scrophulariae and the radix ophiopogonis have a bacteriostatic effect and have an obvious effect on inhibiting diplococcus pneumoniae, streptococcus hemolyticus, bacillus influenzae and the like. The liquorice root has functions of resisting inflammation and resisting allergy.
