Abstract

The invention discloses a method of detecting the distance between a vehicle and a road traffic stone based on a digital image. The method adopts the following devices for acquiring the distance between the vehicle and the road traffic stone: an infrared laser transmitter, an infrared array camera and an MCU, wherein the infrared laser transmitter is used for transmitting infrared laser and infrared splines are projected on the road surface at two sides of the vehicle; the infrared array camera is used for photographing an image at the infrared laser projection place for enabling the MCU to analyze the distance between the vehicle and the road traffic stone; and the MCU is used for receiving image signals, recognizing the position of the road traffic stone and analyzing the distance between the vehicle and the road traffic stone. The method of detecting the distance between the vehicle and the road traffic stone based on the digital image comprises steps: image data of the infrared array camera are acquired; threshold segmentation is carried out on the acquired image; morphological processing is carried out on the image after threshold segmentation, and the center line of the image is extracted; the coordinate position of the road traffic stone in the image is recognized; and the position of the road traffic stone in a vehicle coordinate system is calculated, and the distance between the vehicle and the road traffic stone is calculated.
