Abstract

The invention discloses a determination method for data streams and a controller. The method is applied to the controller for managing at least one network device. Each network device communicates with other network devices through adoption of an ECMP (Equal-Cost Multi-Path Routing) technology. The method comprises the steps of for each network device, obtaining the data streams passing through the network device; calculating an outcoming interface number of each data stream on the network device according to a source IP address, a source port number, a destination IP address and a destination port number of each data stream; determining an interface identifier of each outcoming interface number on the network device; determining data stream sets corresponding to the interface identifiers of all network devices on a target path, wherein the target path is any path of all paths passing through the at least one network device; and calculating an intersection of the data stream sets corresponding to the interface identifiers of all network devices on the target path, thereby obtaining the data stream sets capable of passing through the target path. Through application of the embodiment of the invention, the determining efficiency of the data streams capable of passing through the target path is improved.
