Abstract

The invention discloses a method and apparatus for selecting network slices, in order to solve the problem that a user cannot be ensured to enjoy the same experience in a visiting location as that in a home location in the prior art. The method comprises the following steps: a first SSF of a VPLMN receives a slice selection request, wherein the slice selection request is used for requesting the first SSF to select a network slice for a roaming terminal device, and the slice selection request comprises condition information that should be satisfied by the requested network slice; the first SSF sends the condition information to a second SSF of the VPLMN; the first SSF receives slice information of a first network slice satisfying the condition information and sent by the second SSF; and the first SSF selects a second network slice for the terminal device based on the slice information of the first network slice.
