Abstract

The invention provides an input text automatic error correction method oriented to a question-answering system; the method comprises: 1) defining a table of common mistaken phonetic syllables; 2) constructing a domain noun dictionary; 3) using a determined finite automaton to construct the domain noun dictionary of step 2); 4) receiving user-input text that includes Chinese characters or phonetic alphabets, converting into phonetic alphabets with a Chinese character-to-phonetic alphabet tool, and segmenting all legal or illegal phonetic alphabets, except for monosyllabic phonetic alphabets, via a reverse maximum matching method; 5) matching the segmented phonetic alphabets of step 3) with the domain noun dictionary constructed in step 3) one by one via a fuzzy matching algorithm in conjunction with the table of common mistaken phonetic syllables defined in step 1); 6) scoring the matched domain nouns one by one; 7) outputting the domain nouns with a highest score. By automatically correcting the questions, correct ratio and accuracy of the question-answering system can be improved, and user experience can be improved.
