Abstract

The application discloses a static background intra-frame coding method and device. The method comprises the following steps: firstly calculating a reflection coefficient of a static background in video data to determine illumination components corresponding to each pixel point of I frames, and replacing pixel values of each pixel point of the I frames by using the illumination components; and furthermore, separately performing block-based coding for the I frames that are not subjected to illumination component replacement processing and the I frames that are subjected to illumination component replacement processing by using preset multiple coding modes, and determining an optimal coding mode of each coding block based on coding results. Compared with the prior art, according to the static background intra-frame coding method and device disclosed by the invention, the nature that the reflection coefficient of the static background is relatively invariant for a long time is fully used, and the characteristic that the illumination components have a stronger spatial correlation than the current pixel values is adopted to perform intra-frame coding for the static background, and thus the compression efficiency of intra-frame coding can be improved.
