The method comprises the following steps of: obtaining a first change time, recorded when a monitoring process is started, of an upgrade file; when the fact that a change time of the current upgrade time is greater than the first change time is detected, setting a state code of the upgrade file into a first identification code by an execution process, and sending the state code to the monitoring process to express a change signal of the current upgrade file; and when the monitoring process receives the first identification code, restarting the execution process to load and update the upgrade file. According to the method, the automatic loading and updating of upgrade software are realized, the software upgrading efficiency is improved, the data states in software services are sufficiently considered, the software upgrading success rate is improved, and the software version upgrading and patching costs are reduced.
