Abstract

The present invention discloses an infrared light source component control method and an electronic device. An iris recognition module comprises an infrared light source module and an infrared camera, and the infrared light source module comprises at least two groups of infrared light sources with different working wavelengths. The control method comprises: turning on infrared light sources in turn; acquiring an iris image corresponding to each infrared light source by using an infrared camera; processing the iris image to acquire definition of the iris image; and turning on the infrared light source corresponding to the iris image with the highest definition according to definition and turning off the other infrared light sources. According to the control method and the electronic device provided by the present invention, the at least two groups of infrared light sources with different wavelengths are set and turned on in turn to select one group of infrared light sources with the best iris recognition effect for iris recognition; and thus, on the one hand, the iris recognition module can be applicable for more user groups so that applicability of the iris recognition module is increased, and on the other hand, the infrared light source with the best effect is selected, so that the efficiency of iris recognition is improved.
