Abstract

The present invention provides systems and methods for managing shared resources in a multithreaded processor that includes two or more processing threads. determining hazard levels for the two or more threads, wherein the hazard levels for the threads are based on the potential for the threads to fail to meet deadlines due to unavailability of shared resources; or greater than the priority levels associated with two threads, where the priority level is higher for the thread whose failure to meet the deadline is unacceptable, and where the priority level is acceptable for failure to meet the deadline Accepted threads are lower. The two or more threads are scheduled based at least on the determined hazard levels of the two or more threads and priority levels associated with the two or more threads.
