Embodiments of the invention provide a customized version switching method and apparatus, and a mobile terminal. The method comprises the steps of setting different customized versions according to apreset rule, and configuring at least one preset application in a customized version; storing installation packages of preset applications configured in all the customized versions in the mobile terminal; receiving a version switching instruction, wherein the version switching instruction is used for switching a currently used customized version to a target customized version; setting icons of thepreset applications in the currently used customized version to be in invisible states; and calling the installation packages of the preset applications configured in the target customized version, and installing the installation packages. By adopting the scheme, when customized version switching needs to be carried out, the installation packages stored in the mobile terminal are directly calledto be installed without downloading the preset application installation packages of the required customized version by additionally consuming flow; the whole process is relatively simple and flexible;the time is shortened; the use convenience is brought for users; and the user experience is improved.
