The method includes the following steps: acquiring the rotation speed of a steering wheel within a current preset period and recording the time point of the acquisition; based on all the rotation speeds of the steering wheel and the time points of the acquisition in the current preset period, generating a steering wheel rotation speed feature curve; based on the steering wheel rotation speed feature curve, a first rotation speed threshold which is intended for representing the lowest rotation speed of the steering wheel under the circumstances of normal operation, and a second rotation speed threshold which is intended for representing the lowest rotation speed of the steering wheel under the circumstances of abnormaloperation, determining the operation state of a vehicle in the current preset period; invoking the operation state of the vehicle within a previous preset period; and if the operation state of the vehicle within a previous preset period is a non-operation state, and the operation state of the vehicle within the current preset period is an abnormal operation state, determining that a driver is ata fatigue driving state. According to the invention, the method can accurately detect fatigue driving without influencing a driver's normal driving, and ensures detection accuracy and driving safety.
