Integrated reservoir optimization

A method of managing a fluid or gas reservoir is disclosed which assimilates diverse data having different acquisition time scales and spatial scales of coverage for iteratively producing a reservoir development plan that is used for optimizing an overall performance of a reservoir. The method includes: (a) generating an initial reservoir characterization, (b) from the initial reservoir characterization, generating an initial reservoir development plan, (c) when the reservoir development plan is generated, incrementally advancing and generating a capital spending program, (d) when the capital spending program is generated, monitoring a performance of the reservoir by acquiring high rate monitor data from a first set of data measurements taken in the reservoir and using the high rate monitor data to perform well-regional and field-reservoir evaluations, (e) further monitoring the performance of the reservoir by acquiring low rate monitor data from a second set of data measurements taken in the reservoir, (f) assimilating together the high rate monitor data and the low rate monitor data, (g) from the high rate monitor data and the low rate monitor data, determining when it is necessary to update the initial reservoir development plan to produce a newly updated reservoir development plan, (h) when necessary, updating the initial reservoir development plan to produce the newly updated reservoir development plan, and (i) when the newly updated reservoir development plan is produced, repeating steps (c) through (h). A detailed disclosure is provided herein relating to the step (a) for generating the initial reservoir characterization and the step (b) for generating the initial reservoir development plan.

Method & system for multi-modality imaging of sequentially obtained pseudo-steady state data

Methods, protocols and systems are provided for multi-modality imaging based on pharmacokinetics of an imaging agent. An imaging agent is introduced into a subject, and is permitted to collect generally in a region of interest (ROI) in the subject until attaining a pseudo-steady state (PSS) distribution within the ROI. The imaging agent records a first functional state of the ROI at a given point in time. A first image data set is obtained with a first imaging modality during a first acquisition time interval that occurs prior or proximate in time with the PSS time interval. The subject is transferred from the first imaging modality to a second imaging modality during a transfer time interval that overlaps the PSS time interval. Once transfer is complete, a second image data set is obtained with the second imaging modality during a second acquisition time interval that also overlaps the PSS time interval in which the imaging agent maintains the PSS distribution in the ROI. In accordance with a protocol, the transfer time interval and second acquisition time interval substantially fall within the PSS time interval. The imaging agent collects in the ROI during an uptake time interval which may or may not precede the time interval during which first imaging modality obtains at least a portion of the first image data set. The second image data set is obtained while the imaging agent persists in the ROI at the PSS distribution reflective of the first functional state even after the ROI is no longer in the first functional state.

The invention discloses a machine vision-based intelligent detection method for the surface defect of a bottle cap. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) acquiring the image information of a qualified bottle cap; (2) performing range positioning and characteristic parameter extraction on the surface image of the bottle cap; (3) respectively storing all the acquired parameters of the surface image of the bottle cap in different arrays; (4) judging whether the acquisition times of the bottle cap reaches the preset acquisition times; (5) counting the average value, the upper limit value and the lower limit value of all the parameters, and taking the difference of the upper limit value and the lower limit value as an error allowance range; (6) acquiring the image information of the bottle cap to be detected and exacting characteristic parameters; and (7) judging whether errors corresponding to the parameters exist in the error allowance range, and eliminating the unqualified bottle cap with the defect through identifying and other steps. In the method, the intelligently-extracted characteristic parameters of the surface image of the bottle cap can serve as a detection standard, the quick image detection is realized and the detection efficiency is high. The characteristic parameters can be attached to the conventional production line of the bottle cap so as to realize the on-line detection of the production and the detection at the same time.
