The invention provides a flammable gas explosion system and method in a small-sized pipeline. The system comprises a flammable gas explosion experiment section in the small-sized pipeline; an acetylene driving section used for detonating a non-sensitive mixed gas; a hydrogen bottle, a nitrogen bottle, a carbon monoxide bottle, an oxygen bottle and an acetylene bottle which are used for providing acombustible gas and air components; a vacuum system used for pumping the experiment section and related pipelines to a vacuum state; a gas mixing system for stirring a flammable mixed gas in the experiment section to be uniformly mixed; and supporting power distribution equipment and datum measurement and acquisition equipment. The experimental procedure is as follows: after an experiment systemis pumped to the vacuum state, according to requirements of working conditions, a certain ratio of the flammable mixed gas is poured into the experiment section, ignition is started and data begin tobe recorded, after explosion is completed, a gas is discharged, and the experiment is finished.
