Abstract

The invention relates to the field of damping of engineering structure and discloses a damping device and an installation method thereof. The damping device comprises an upper connecting board and a lower connecting board, both of which are arranged in parallel. The damping device also comprises multiple damping boards. Multiple upper energy consumption boards, vertically arranged at intervals, are arranged on the upper connecting board. Damping boards are respectively pasted on two sides of each upper energy consumption board. The lower connecting board is connected with multiple lower energyconsumption boards which are vertically arranged at intervals. Two sides of each lower energy consumption board are pasted with damping boards. A gap is arranged between two adjacent damping boards.Foam aluminum boards and rubber boards, composited by adhesives, are adopted by the damping boards. The damping boards are connected in a bonding manner with the upper energy consumption boards and the lower energy consumption boards. Therefore, compression and energy consumption capabilities of the foam aluminum boards are fully leveraged. Meanwhile, the damping device is effectively prevented from being drawn, sheared and bent. Additionally, by arranging different gap widths between adjacent damping boards, anti-seismic energy consumption in multiple levels is achieved. Therefore, earthquakeresistance and disaster prevention capabilities of the damping device are improved.
