Abstract

The present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for processing beacon frames, wherein the method includes: dividing a plurality of first target time periods in each beacon interval; wherein first target time period is a time period in which a target management frame transmitted by a station is processed correspondingly and no processing is performed on other management frames other than thetarget management frame, the target management frame being one of the management frames; configuring a management frame type identification of the target management frame corresponding to each of thefirst target periods; and broadcasting a target beacon frame for carrying a correspondence relationship between the first target time period and the management frame type identifier. The present disclosure effectively limits the number of management frames of a station without updating the hardware of the access point device, releases more channel resources for data frames, avoids excessive competition between the management frames and the data frames, and improves the usage experience of the access point.
