A vehicle interior component and a method of installing an electronic component in a vehicle. In order to install interior components in a vehicle, additional parts are required to hold the wiring harness in place. A vehicle interior part includes: a main body including a through hole, a first surface opposite to a vehicle body panel, and a second surface opposite to the first surface; and a wire holder holding an end of an electric wire connected to a wire-side connector department. The wire holder includes: a base extending from a first portion of the rim of the through hole toward the inside of the through hole and having elasticity; a free end portion including an end surface opposite to the second portion of the rim; and an intermediate portion. The base, the free end, the intermediate portion and the first portion define a space having a diameter larger than the end and smaller than the dimension of the wire side connector to hold the end in the space and make the wire side connector more close to the second surface.
